“I have never given my dog a hog ear but I will definitely buy them again. The pure excitement was evident!” —Crystal M.

It is what it is.
No recipe. No list. Just the chew. Dehydrated whole — every nutritious part of the animal, nothing wasted.
Dogs are built to chew.
A good hard chew scratches that itch — the deep, back-of-the-mouth kind that actually settles them.
The crunch does double duty.
All that hard, dehydrated chewing helps scrape teeth clean as they go.
Chews your dog will sit, stay, and beg for.

What are natural dog chews, and what makes Farm Hounds different?
Natural dog chews are made from real animal parts — no synthetic binders, no artificial preservatives, and no mystery ingredients. At Farm Hounds, every chew is a single ingredient sourced from pasture-raised animals and naturally dehydrated. That means no added chemicals, no dyes, and no processing shortcuts. You can read the label in one second and know exactly what you’re giving your dog.
Are Farm Hounds chews safe for dogs?
Yes — but like any chew, supervision matters, especially the first time your dog tries something new. We recommend limiting chew sessions to 15–20 minutes and storing the chew out of reach between sessions. If you ever notice a sharp edge or see your dog trying to gulp rather than chew, take the chew away and try a different size or style.
What kind of dogs are these chews best for?
We have options for every chew style — light chewers, active chewers, and full-on power chewers.
Softer chews like Hog Ears or Chicken Feet are great for lighter chewers or smaller dogs. Beef Trachea is a crunchy option that works well as a daily chew for medium chewers or as a treat for more aggressive ones. If your dog goes through everything in minutes, look at our tougher options.

Do Farm Hounds chews help with joint health?
Many of our chews — particularly Beef Trachea, Beef Tendons, and Beef Gullet — are naturally rich in chondroitin and glucosamine, which support joint health and mobility. These aren’t supplements added to a processed treat; they’re naturally occurring in the connective tissue and cartilage of the animal. It’s real food doing real work.
Are these chews good for my dog’s teeth?
Yes. Chewing is one of the most effective natural ways to support dental hygiene. The mechanical action of gnawing scrapes away plaque and tartar and strengthens gum tissue — similar to brushing. A 10–15 minute chew session daily can make a meaningful difference over time. Many Farm Hounds customers report seeing real improvement in their dog’s breath and tartar buildup after making chews a regular habit.
Are Farm Hounds chews digestible?
Our chews are highly digestible compared to synthetic or chemically processed alternatives. Because they’re naturally dehydrated (not cooked at high heat or treated with preservatives), they retain more of their natural structure and are easier for dogs to break down. Chews like Beef Trachea also contain beneficial digestive enzymes that support gut health.
Where do Farm Hounds chews come from?
Every chew is sourced from American family farms committed to pasture-raised, humane farming practices. We work directly with our farm partners — many practicing regenerative agriculture — so we know exactly where our ingredients come from. No mystery supply chains. No imported mystery meat. If we don’t feel good about where it came from, it doesn’t go in the bag.
How long do the chews last?
It depends on your dog’s chew style and which product you choose. Light chewers may get multiple sessions out of a single Beef Trachea. Power chewers might work through it faster. If you have an aggressive chewer, we recommend options with more density — Beef Tendons, Hog Tails, or Hides — for longer-lasting sessions.
Can I give these chews to puppies?
Many of our chews are appropriate for puppies, though we always recommend starting supervised and choosing a size appropriate for your dog’s jaw strength. Softer options like Chicken Feet or Chicken Necks are often good starting points. Avoid harder chews until your puppy has developed stronger chewing habits. When in doubt, take our quiz — we’ll help you find the right fit for your pup’s age and size.
How should I store Farm Hounds chews?
Store in a cool, dry place. If your dog is mid-chew and you want to save it for later, take it away, let it air dry completely, and store out of sight (and reach). Most chews don’t require refrigeration, but for long-term storage or if you live in a humid climate, a sealed container or resealable bag works well.

Your dog deserves to know what they’re eating. So do you.
