Chewing is one of the BEST activities for ANY dog!
Goat Hide Rolls, unlike the heavy-duty Beef Hide Rolls, is a great alternative chew for dogs looking for something easier to work on! Some dogs, when they experience something that is too difficult, look for something else that can satisfy their chewing drives.
Puppies, seniors, dogs who are missing teeth, or smaller dogs that are more timid towards chewing do GREAT with the this type of chew!
Because chewing provides so many benefits, like cleaning teeth, strengthening gums, mental/physical exercise, it's important to find a chew that matches your dog!
Why to choose Goat Hide Rolls:
But my dog is a big, heavy chewer!
This chew isn't for everyone. Heavy chewers will absolutely work this chew faster than the Beef Hide Rolls. So stick to Goat Hide when you need something easier for the pup!
Know the difference:
These naturally dried chews are the full hide. They are not chemically processed, cooked, or dyed like industrially made rawhide.
Industrial rawhide, with the use of toxic chemicals, only use a portion of the hide after the top portion has been removed for tanning. This allows dogs to chew and consume them way too quickly, opening the door to blockages and choking concerns.
Goat Hide is very high in collagen, a type of protein that is important for holding bones and skin tissues in place.
Chew like a pro!
With Goat Hide, limit chewing to around 10-15 minutes per session. Most small dogs feel fully satisfied (endorphins get released in the brain) after short sessions of back-of-the-jaw gnawing. After chewing, store the chew out of sight and use it when you need the pup to have more chew time!
All chewing should be supervised, especially when your dog is trying something for the first time. When giving any type of rawhide, you want to make sure your dog is chewing appropriately. As durable and digestible as our rawhides are, if your pup is strong enough to rip large pieces free and swallow them, we recommend removing the chew for safety reasons.
