Transparently sourced from 100% pasture-raised pork, these dehydrated chews are highly digestible and humanely raised to support regenerative agriculture.

Product Description

Safety First:We want you to consider the potential hazards of these chews before purchasing them.

Please be aware that these heavy-duty chews require close supervision due to containing bone. Swallowing large or sharp bones is a behavior that could be life-threatening and should always be prevented by supervising chew time.

If this product splinters, develops sharp edges or breaks into pieces that could create a choking hazard, it needs to be thrown away immediately. To prevent injury, please watch your pet closely during all chewing sessions.

Hog feet contain marble-sized knuckle bones that could pose a choking hazard, and due to containing weight-bearing bones (thicker bone), they are more likely to develop sharper edges depending on how aggressively it's chewed. Please discard any bone that could have a sharp edge or create a choking hazard and ensure that their dog's chewing habits/style is appropriate for dehydrated bone. For example, aggressive/powerful chewing is more difficult to supervise.

We always want to proceed with extra caution as the last thing we want to do is put you and your pet in a dangerous situation. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Chewing Benefits

Chewing is one of the best mental and physical activities a dog can participate in!

Teeth
Want to save your dog from dental disease, horrible breath, and teeth cleaning bills? Then give your dog a chew for around 10 minutes every day!

Similar to humans, canine dental issues can impact the overall health of your pet! Not only is gnawing and chewing a great mental and physical exercise, but it cleans teeth and strengthens gums! Daily chewing is just like brushing teeth for humans!

Chewing
Limit chewing to 15-20 minutes per session. Most dogs feel fully satisfied (endorphins get released in the brain) after short sessions of back-of-the-jaw gnawing. After chewing, store the hide out of sight and give again when you need the pup to have some down time!

Sourcing and Availability

Sourcing
Everything we make is connected to family farms. When you purchase from Farm Hounds, you will always know the exact farm we worked with to make that product.

We maintain the connection to the farm through the entire process by placing the farm name on every product.

Availability
We choose to source from working farms which means animals may not mature on our timetable. At times, this means we do not have access to the products we want or need. However, we continue to identify small, true working farms that we can partner with to help minimize any shortages.

Safety and Storage

Safety
All chewing should be supervised, especially when your dog is trying something for the first time. When giving chews that have dehydrated bone, you want to make sure the dog has the jaw strength and patience to chew/crush the bones before consuming. If a sharp edge or inappropriate chewing behavior is ever discovered, we recommend removing the chew for safety reasons.

Storage
Keep in a cool/dry place. Our dehydrated products are free of preservatives and pesticides, and although it is very uncommon, bugs and mold (from added moisture) are your two culprits for causing trouble.

For chews and hides, especially after a chewing session, avoid sealing them in plastic or containers that can trap moisture. Allow the chew to air out and store in a cool/dry place.

For longer storage, the freezer can be a great way to keep our products fresh, and away from bugs and pest that might show interest.

Dog loved it but finished it really quickly!

My dog loved the large size hog foot! It only took him about 20 minutes to finish the entire thing even though it is labeled for a power chewer, thus the 4 stars. The carpal bones in the foot were about two inches wide and may pose a choking/obstruction risk so be sure to monitor your dogs like Farm Hounds advises. :)

    She loved it!

The large was a good size and she loved it but it was not match for my super chewer. It lasted about 20 minutes.

    LOVE

My guy loved these hog feet, a little on the oiler side so I plan on giving these less than the beef products. But boy does he enjoy them!

    THE BEST

These trotters are huge! Our dogs literally go ham on chewing ham! They last a long time aren't strong in the odor department and truly are a bang for your buck.
